Velcura Therapeutics, Inc. was founded to develop therapies that restore bone homeostasis and bone health. We use our proprietary bone assays to elucidate the intimate linkages between the bone cells and their environment. We then leverage this understanding of bone biology to discover and optimize compounds that restore bone homeostasis.

Our lead compound, VEL-0230, was identified using these bone assays and subsequently licensed from our strategic partner, Nippon Chemiphar LTD, a Japanese pharmaceutical company with strong expertise in medicinal chemistry. VEL-0230 is currently in phase 1 clinical trials.
